The peppermint pieces were deliciously crunchy and provided an interesting texture contrast to the firmness of the chocolate. The chocolate was perfectly bittersweet with a good acidity ratio. There was a good ratio of peppermint to chocolate, which made this a balanced, well-flavoured product.

Origin

We work with Fairtrade-certified cooperatives, including:

Acopagro, El Quinacho, Cacvra and Oro Verde in Perú, Fundopo in the Dominican Republic, Cocabo in Panamá and Cooperative Premium Cacao Sambirano CPCS in Madagascar for our cocoa.

Our cocoa is purchased directly from the Fairtrade-certified cooperatives.

The cocoa in this bar comes from Peru and the Dominican Republic.

The cane sugar comes from Asocace in Paraguay and Apoya in Costa Rica, and the bourbon vanilla from Komam and Cooppvm in Madagascar.
